Iggy Azalea has a few things to say!
We have an exclusive first look at the Aussie artist's Remix magazine cover, and she really opened up in the publication's pages about the serious shade that constantly seems to be thrown her way!
The gorgeous gal talked to the New Zealand mag about fellow musicians — we're looking at you, Azealia Banks — who have publicly bashed her career, saying:
"The artists that criticise me don't have as much success as me, so I think it gets them riled up, because they're not selling as much as I am. I honestly think that's what it boils down to. There are some bones that people chose to pick with me they could've picked with a lot of other artists but they didn't, and the only thing besides maybe gender between them and I is the level of success I have."
Damn! IggyIggs sure knows how to stand up for herself!
But if you thought that jab was hurtful, the success shade continues! She also added:
"I don't want to say it's just people being jealous, but I do think the level of success I've had and how many fans I have and the amount of records I sell does have a lot to do with it. I've been doing the same thing for years, people have been aware of me since 2011 and it wasn't until I had all these records go platinum and multiplatinum that I heard anything negative or had a question mark against my name."
Well, she has a point. But the 212 rapper isn't the only performer the blonde beauty has rubbed the wrong way!
Back in 2014, the lovely lady dissed Lorde's Nirvana tribute, but now she's adamant that she and the New Zealand native share nothing but fond feelings for each other.
She insisted:
"I almost collaborated with Lorde on this album! I sent her the song and it didn't get done in time, but it's one of my artistic goals to collaborate with her. There's this one song I wrote for the album but it needed a female singer and she was my number one. She was going to do it, she was totally keen, but she was too busy with her own album. I hope it can happen, if not on this album then another. I think she's awesome."
