On Wednesday night, Real Madrid advanced to the semi-final of the Champions League after beating German side Wolfsburg 3-0. Cristiano Ronaldo was in fine form, scoring all three goals including a stunning free-kick to complete his hat-trick.
But the Portuguese international has revealed he changed his free-kick routine prior to stepping up because of a teammate's advice. Before taking the free-kick, goalkeeper Keylor Navas ran from his box to give some words of advice.
"We train together. And he'll kill me for telling you, but he said that I should take it slowly, not run at full pelt because he knew I'd score."
Maybe it's time to listen to Navas all the time, Ronnie.
