Arsene Wenger is ready to complete moves for Under-17 stars Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze who are both expected to join the Gunners this month
Arsenal are set to sign Nigerian youngsters Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze, Goal can confirm
Sources have told Goal that Nwakali and Chukwueze are expected to complete their transfers this month after the Gunners beat off competition from leading clubs across Europe.
The duo were key members of the Nigeria team that won the under-17 World Cup in Chile in November are are currently at the Diamond Football Academy in Umuahia, Nigeria.
Chukwueze scored three goals and provided three assists in the tournament while Nwakali, 17, was voted as the best player and has chosen to move to Arsenal despite his brother playing for Manchester City.
They will join Arsenal’s youth set up and sign professional contracts when they turn 18.
Arsene Wenger has predicted a busy transfer window, with Arsenal expected to finally complete the signing of Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny on Wednesday.
