Chelsea will not give up on the chance of bringing Pep Guardiola to Stamford Bridge, despite widespread reports linking the former Barcelona boss with Manchester City.
According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea have told Guardiola's representatives that they are prepared to offer him a significantly larger contract than anything City offer, whilst promising the Bayern Munich coach vast funds to reshape the squad to his requirements.
It is thought that Guardiola has long been coveted by Blues owner Roman Abramovich, who reportedly tried to bring the Catalan coach to Stamford Bridge in 2013, and the Russian does not want to miss out on the 44-year-old again
