Big Sean is doing his part when it comes to helping people in Flint, Mich., during the water crisis. On Thursday the Detroit native launched #HealFlintKids to raise money, and he also donated $10,000.
The rapper teamed up with Crowdrise to benefit the children exposed to the toxic Flint water. Proceeds of the fundraiser will also benefit the Community Foundation of Greater Flint Michigan.
“I am devastated by the water crisis that has put the entire city of Flint in a state of emergency,” said Big Sean in a press statement. “In recognizing the great work that the Community Foundation of Greater Flint Michigan has been doing, it is my hope we can help by raising the money needed to ensure that the children who have been hit the hardest receive the care that they need today and well into the future.”
The campaign, which ends April 30, is enticing donors: People who make a donation of at least $10 could win VIP tickets to a Big Sean concert. The donations are also tax deductible.
