Ora was shot by snapper Terry Richardson and appears on the cover of Lui magazine, a beaming smile on her face as she holds her shirt open to reveal her bare breasts.
"Ora recorded a song with human pond scum and violent girlfriend beater Chris Brown and then had the nerve to refer to him as a good person."
Of course, Ora isn’t the only woman in show business who is fond of taking her top off. And she's not the only woman to work with Richardson - a photographer who's managed to maintain an incredibly successful career despite a constant swirl of accusations about inappropriate sexual behavior on shoots (which he has strongly denied). Both Madonna and Miley Cyrus have posed for him in the past.
But Rita Ora’s breasts? They’re just breasts. She could use her nudity to shed light on a cause, to further the progress of women in the music industry or talk about body image in a positive way. But instead she’s doing it to sell her new single.
So Rita: For better or worse the dual punch of being beautiful and an X-Factor judge has made you a role model, which means you've got a responsibility towards young women an girls.
There will be people who say that you've set a bad example by taking topless photos. I don't agree with them.
I think you've set a bad example by taking your top off without any good reason.
So, until you’re willing to lend yourself, your body and your voice to a message, to a cause or to anything more important that repetitive pop songs, put your top back on. Teach young women something:
Your body is powerful and your body is important, your body is beautiful and your body is yours. For god’s sake put it to a better use than making men even more money.
