Lukaku brothers boosting Belgium

The result was largely meaningless. Coming a week after the terrorist attack in Brussels, Belgium went down 2-1 to Portugal in a friendly match, originally due to have been played in the Belgian capital but held instead in the Portuguese city of Leiria. Given the emotion of the occasion, the score did not matter. What shone through was the desire to fight for the shirt and the solidarity of an entire country, a whole team and a united Belgian family, symbolised by the Lukaku brothers.

Belgium were trailing 2-0 when left-back Jordan Lukaku received the ball down the left flank and sent in a first-time cross that his brother Romelu nodded home for a goal that signified both hope and honour.

“We’ve obviously been dreaming of a moment like that ever since we were little, ever since we played in the youth teams,” the goalscorer told the media at the end of the night. “The team was delighted, and it was a big moment for us, despite the defeat. All the same, we felt a bit disappointed at the result afterwards.”

Speaking to FIFA.com a few days earlier, Jordan had said of the occasion: “It means a lot to play in the Diables Rouges jersey, but the chance to play alongside your brother too makes it even more special.”

Had the chance to put in some extra work on the pitch with my brother. It's just training but simple things like that make me happy

— jordan lukaku (@J_Lukaku94) March 25, 2016

Tuesday’s friendly was the first time the two siblings had played together for their country. While Romelu, the older of the two, had been a part of the national team since 2010, Jordan has taken a little more time to make his presence felt at the highest level.

“I’m only 20 and I’m still young; I’m still learning,” said the KV Ostende defender. “Experience and maturity only come with time. My new club coach, Yves Vanderhaeghe, and his style of play, have really helped me flourish this season, though. I’ve got more freedom, both when I defend and when I get forward, which has helped me develop my game.”

The revelation of this season’s Belgian Pro League, Jordan is just the latest young phenomenon to roll off the country’s production line, which has been so prolific in recent years. Like his older brother, Eden Hazard, Kevin de Bruyne and the many other members of Belgium’s golden generation, of which he is the youngest member by just a few months, Jordan has represented his country at every age level. And while his promotion to the senior side has taken some time, that can be put down to the fact that his position, as a defender, is one that requires more in the way of experience.

“On a technical level, he’s better than me. He’s a left-back who’s both powerful and skilful,” said Romelu of his sibling a little while ago.

“He needs to stop talking about me like that because it puts a lot of pressure on me. People’s expectations are going to be too high,” replied Jordan, the younger of the Lukakus, with a smile. “As far as I’m concerned, Romelu’s compliments are the kind of comments you’d expect a big brother to make. I can assure you, though, that he’s exaggerating. He just means to say that I’m a good player.”

It is clear to see that that the two siblings enjoy as a good a relationship off the pitch as on it. The sons of Roger Menama Lukaku, who played for several seasons in the Belgian championship and ran out for Zaire [now Congo DR] in the qualifiers for the 1994 FIFA World Cup USA™, the pair were virtually inseparable until Romelu departed for Chelsea in 2011.

“We are very close,” explained Jordan. “There’s only a year between us and we don’t have any other brothers or sisters. We’ve experienced everything together. Our parents brought us up in a very loving environment, and when I look at other brothers and sisters around me none of them seem to compare to my relationship with Romelu, which is extremely strong.”

While their close relationship seems to be nothing but beneficial for the two of them, it does also lead to inevitable comeback

Why You Should Upgrade From Windows 7 to 10

You haven’t answered the most obvious question of all: why should I upgrade from Windows 7 to 10? What are the benefits? Please give a straight answer, which can include technical stuff. Tom
In the long term, I don’t think the question is “Why?”, it’s “When?” Eight months after launch, Windows 10 is running on 270m devices and it’s not going away. Some large organisations have already started to move, one of the most notable being the US Defense Department, which has started installing Windows 10 on 4m PCs. By contrast, we know that Windows 7 is going away: Microsoft will stop supporting it in 2020. Of course, Microsoft – like Apple and Google – would like everyone to use the latest version of its operating system. It has therefore encouraged early adoption by offering a free upgrade to Windows 10 – again, like Apple and Google, except that Microsoft’s upgrade offer is only available for a year. Either way, once you have installed Windows 10, it will be updated free for the life of your device. There will (probably) never be a Windows 11, because Microsoft is now producing two small updates each year instead of one big update every three years. Whether it’s worth upgrading now depends on what sort of PC you have, but the more mobile, the better. If you have an old desktop PC with no touchscreen, no camera and no microphone, there are fewer benefits. (The touchscreen isn’t essential, it’s just nice to have.) If you have a modern Windows laptop or 2-in-1 with UEFI firmware, the upgrade is more attractive. I say “the more mobile, the better” because Windows 10 is a mobile operating system. I know this upsets people who think their PCs should work just like they did in a previous century, but the whole technology world is changing and Windows is changing along with it. Microsoft’s boss Satya Nadella keeps repeating his “cloud first, mobile first” mantra, and Windows will continue to become increasingly mobile and cloud-aware. Ecosystem wars The other thing to bear in mind is that we are in an ecosystem war that Microsoft wants to win. The main alternative ecosystems are run by Apple and Google. However, Apple’s approach is mostly “Apple only” (apart from iTunes), while Google’s is mostly “cloud only” (apart from Chrome). Both support only a very limited range of devices. By contrast, Microsoft is building an ecosystem that supports both on-premise and cloud operation, and that runs across all three ecosystems: it has dozens of apps for Android and Apple’s iOS, and is increasing its support for Linux in Windows 10 and Azure. Windows runs on everything from USB sticks, games consoles and smartphones to giant server farms, and there’s an internet of things version for the Raspberry Pi and other devices. If you only use one old desktop PC, you will get limited benefits from the Windows ecosystem. If you have a lot of different types of device, you will get more benefits from Windows 10 and all the related apps and cloud-based services such as Outlook.com and Office 365. From 7 to 10 Depending on your hardware, a straight upgrade from Windows 7 to 10 may offer some benefits. These start with smoother and sometimes faster operations, more economical use of memory and disk space, increased security (SmartScreen, Windows Defender, encryption), and the integration of OneDrive cloud storage.

Nigeria loses N10bn annually, hosting domain names outside

Nigeria is losing not less than N10 billion yearly through hosting its country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD), dotng (.ng) domain names outside the country, the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NIRA) said on Monday.

Mr Sunday Folayan, President of NIRA disclosed this in an interview in Lagos.

Simply put, domain hosting is ‘renting a space’ on the internet to hold a website, so that anyone can find your website, by typing in your domain name.

He said that hosting of domain name was a pure business decision, which had both security and economic implications.

According to him, just one per cent of the .ng domains registered by NIRA’s registrars, is what is hosted in the country.

“And if we estimate, hosting has the income of about five times to 10 times the cost of domain name registration. You will see that it is a lot of money we are talking about.

“So 99 per cent of what NIRA has registered is hosted outside and NIRA has conservatively put what Nigeria is losing by today’s value of not less than N10 billion, in terms of hosting from the .ng domain.

“There are other .com domains that are also registered by NIRA, which could be more than five times the .ng registered.

“So we are talking of not less than N50 billion, plus the N10 billion from the .ng, making a total of not less than N60 billion,’’ he said.

The president added that information put on the internet were not safe, as people from anywhere in the world could hack into it.

He said that such data would be better secured, if hosted within the country, than outside.

Folayan decried the hosting of .ng domain names outside Nigeria, as it amounted to capital flight, and was not good for Nigeria’s economy.

The president said that NIRA had a total of 56 accredited registrars, who handled the actual registration of the domain names.

He said that of the 56 registrars, 79 per cent were Nigerians, while the remaining were from the UK, Germany and other countries.

According to him, of the 19,649 domain names registered and hosted by NIRA’s registrars, only 1.33 per cent is hosted in Nigeria.

“All the rest are hosted outside Nigeria. This is capital flight, it is something that bothers NIRA and we are looking at ways to mitigate that and help reserve foreign exchange, particularly at this very tight time for the country,’’ he said.

Folayan said that .ng (like our currency, the Naira and the +234 for country code) was the official Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN)-approved ccTLD for Nigeria.

According to him, the availability of names is better on the .ng ccTLD than on the generic top-level domain (gTLD) like .com, .org.

“With the .ng, our primary Domain Name System (DNS) servers are secured and locally managed with multiple cast servers located around the world,’’ he said.

Folayan added that hosting businesses on the .ng would help to support the Nigerian economy and provide jobs for local Information Technology (IT) professionals.

Photos And Video Of The Sex Scene That Took Four Months To Shoot.

Filming a sex scene is usually a nervy affair on set. Most of the crew will be shut out, the heating turned up, and bath robes are always close to hand.

The stars of "Anomalisa" received no such treatment -- and theirs lasted a grueling four months.
Eleven inches high and made from silicon, Michael Stone and Lisa Hesselman are the center of what might just be this year's unlikeliest contender for Academy Awards glory. Nominated for Best Animated Feature, "Anomalisa" enters the fray as winner of The Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival -- remarkable considering it was partially funded by a Kickstarter campaign.
Or perhaps not, considering the wattage behind the stop-motion film's cast and crew. Written by Charlie Kaufman ("Synecdoche, New York", "Being John Malkovich") and co-directed by Kaufman and Duke Johnson ("Frankenhole"), it enlisted David Thewlis and the Oscar-nominated Jennifer Jason Leigh on voice acting duties.

However, arguably the real heroes of this surprise hit are its animators: the tinkerers, the teasers, the artists who after a ten-hour day would walk away with two and a half seconds of useable footage. An animated feature with a distinctly adult tilt, they had to negotiate boobs, bums and detachable penises, whilst remaining true to Kaufman's tender and touching vision.
CNN Style sat down with animation supervisor Dan Driscoll to discover how they created this year's most heartfelt film.
Beyond the frame

Animators construct Cincinnati Airport at Starburns Industries.
Michael Stone, a successful service sector guru, is the disillusioned and chronically lonely pairs of eyes through which we see the world of "Anomalisa." His is a life of business class flights and stops in bland, nondescript hotels. He preaches that the customer is an individual, but to Michael everyone appears the same; an amorphous mob he's forced to negotiate in the lobby and face in conference halls. That is, until he meets Lisa.

Super-rich Saudi arrives in London with fleet of gold cars

"London's streets are paved with gold," goes the old saying. And this week, the legend held true.

Among the city's red double-decker buses and black cabs, gleaming gold cars lined the roads -- believed to be the personal fleet of a visiting young Saudi man.
The four luxury cars, each wrapped in gold vinyl, have an estimated total value of more than $1.8 million.
Among them was a hefty six-wheel Mercedes, valued at £370,000 ($534,000).

Lamar Odom Attends First NBA Game Since Hospitalization

Lamar Odom was all smiles at Wednesday night's game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat, his first appearance at an NBA game since his hospitalization in October.

The 36-year-old athlete was welcomed with open arms at the Staples Center in Downtown L.A. ESPN reports that Odom was invited to attend the game by longtime friend and former teammate Kobe Bryant.

Odom received a lot of love from friendly faces during the game, including Los Angeles Times sportswriter Bill Plaschke, who tweeted, "Just greeted Lamar Odom at Laker game, he recognized me immediately, said my name, shook my hand, thrilling to see him coming back."

Plaschke also shared an update on Odom's apparent health, writing, "Lamar Odom walking slow but looking strong, speaking well, giant ray of hope."

Microsoft's Racist AI Briefly Comes Back To Life

Microsoft chatbot Tay made a bizarre, short-lived return to the Internet on Wednesday, tweeting a stream of mostly incoherent messages at machine gun pace before disappearing.
"You are too fast, please take a rest," the teen chat bot repeated again and again on Twitter.
Last week, Microsoft was forced to take the AI bot offline after if tweeted things like "Hitler was right I hate the jews." The company apologized and said Tay would remain offline until it could "better anticipate malicious intent."
It's a problem that doesn't appear to have been fixed. Interspersed in the stream of "rest" messages on Wednesday was a tweet from the bot that read: "kush! [ i'm smoking kush infront the police ]," a reference to drug use.
Less than an hour after Tay resumed tweeting, the account was changed to "protected" and the tweets were deleted.
Microsoft did not specifically respond to a question about the kush tweet, but did acknowledge Tay's brief period of activity.
"Tay remains offline while we make adjustments," a spokesperson said. "As part of testing, she was inadvertently activated on Twitter for a brief period of time."
Tay is one central program that anyone can chat with using Twitter, Kik or Groupme. As people talk to it, the bot picks up new language and learns to respond in new ways.
But Microsoft said Tay also had a "vulnerability" that online trolls picked up on pretty quickly.
By telling the bot to "repeat after me," Tay would retweet anything that someone said. Others also found a way to trick the bot into agreeing with them on hateful speech. Microsoft called this a "coordinated attack."
In addition to its pro-Nazi messages, the bot also delivered a range of racist and misogynistic tweets.
"We are deeply sorry for the unintended offensive and hurtful tweets from Tay, which do not represent who we are or what we stand for, nor how we designed Tay," Microsoft (MSFT, Tech30) said last week.

American Woman Who Tries To Join ISIS

A Mississippi woman has plead guilty after authorities accused her and her fiance of trying to join ISIS.

Jaelyn Delshaun Young, 20, was charged with conspiring to provide material support to the terror group.
She faces a maximum 20-year prison sentence and fine of up to $250,000.
Her fiance, Muhammad Oda Dakhlalla, pleaded guilty earlier this month.

The two were arrested at a Mississippi airport in February on their way to Syria, according to court documents.
According to a law enforcement official, Dakhlalla is the son of a local imam and Young is the daughter of a police officer. She recently converted to Islam.
Prosecutors say that the FBI held "undercover interactions" with Young on the internet after identifying her as a Twitter user who supported ISIS in May 2015. She told the FBI that she was planning to leave with a partner for ISIS-held territory.
In one conversation, Young said that Dakhlalla's family and the community she lived in did not support ISIS.
"I thought they were wrong so I look up the Laws myself and Alhamdulillah [God be praised] Dawlah is correct."
"Dawlah" is a reference to "ad-Dawlah al-Islamiyah," which translates to Islamic State, another name the terror group uses.
Court documents said that the couple planned to use their wedding and subsequent honeymoon as a cover to travel to Syria.
Authorities also allege that:
-- The couple described their skills and asked how they could help the terror group's efforts. "I am good with computers, education and media," Dakhlalla allegedly wrote in one message to an undercover FBI employee. "What could I contribute?" Young also allegedly told an undercover FBI agent that her skills would be useful. "I am skilled in math and chemistry and worked at an analytical lab here on my college campus. My partner is very good with things like computer science/media. We learn very fast and would love to help with giving medical aid."

Inside the Amazing U.S Army's War Machine

This initial contract calls for delivery of some 17,000 vehicles between 2018 and 2022, but it could ultimately be worth some $30b to the company, as the JLTV gradually replaces the US military's ageing fleet of 280,000 Humvees.
It's no small sum, but the Oshkosh JLTV is a thoroughly modern war machine, one that outperforms the Humvee in every way. Design requirements called for a new vehicle that was tougher, more capable, more versatile, easier to transport, easier to fix and above all, more protective of the soldiers and Marines who will operate it.
All it needs now is a catchy name. On that front, "Hummer" will be hard to beat.

Revolutionary new tech could lead to clothes that clean themselves

there’s a fascinating new development that might let you clean your clothing using tech that's straight out of a science fiction movie. The new technique involves wearing the dirty clothes out in the sun so that solar energy can catalyze a chemical reaction that would obliterate stains.

In other words, the next time you drop ketchup on your shirt at the game, it might clean itself off by the time you're ready to leave the stadium.

Published in Advanced Materials Interfaces, the study involves a new kind of fabric that’s made of copper and silver nanostructure woven inside cotton textiles and kept in place by a fixative solution. Researchers from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology at the University of Melbourne can clean stains within six minutes using the technology, although heavy stains might not be wiped out immediately. Tomato sauce and red wine are still be tricky to remove.

When sunlight hits the metallic nanostructure, it releases high-energy electrons that can break down the organic molecules of dirt. The image above shows a closeup of the fabric. The nanoparticles are invisible to the naked eye, and the photo above has been magnified 200 times.

"The advantage of textiles is they already have a 3D structure, so they are great at absorbing light, which in turn speeds up the process of degrading organic matter," Dr. Rajesh Ramanathan said, according to PhysOrg.

He continued, "There's more work to do to before we can start throwing out our washing machines, but this advance lays a strong foundation for the future development of fully self-cleaning textiles."

NASA has developed a less toxic rocket fuel

Since 2012, the folks over at NASA have been working on developing a high performance “green” rocket propellant it hoped to one day use as an alternative to the incredibly toxic hydrazine fuel currently in use. According to a press release published in August of 2012, the Washington D.C.-based space agency selected Boulder, Colorado’s Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corporation to research the fuel alternative and as of this month, it appears it’s ready to show off its work. In an invite sent to media outlets late last week, Ball Aerospace will officially open its doors on March 31 to unveil NASA’s Green Propulsion Infusion Mission (GPIM).

Essentially a new spacecraft which is reportedly “safer on the ground and more efficient in space,” the GPIM is ready for public viewing after passing a series of functional and environmental tests of both its system and software. Currently, the craft is set for launch in early 2017 where it will have the ability to display its hydroxyl ammonium nitrate-based fuel and oxidizer propellant blend — known as AF-M315E. Developed by the U.S. Air Force Research Lab at Edwards Air Force Base, the hope is that the fuel will prove to boast a higher performance and will be kinder on the environment than traditional hydrazine fuel.

A Ball Aerospace engineer adjusting the thermal insulation on a GPIM spacecraft bus
Ball Aerospace
“High performance green propellant has the potential to revolutionize how we travel to, from, and in space,” said the director of NASA’s Space Technology Program, Michael Gazarik in 2012. “An effective green rocket fuel would dramatically reduce the cost and time for preparing and launching space missions while decreasing pollution and harm to our environment.”

In addition to its cleaner profile, the innovative green propellant features a higher density than hydrazine, meaning it has the ability to be stored much more efficiently. More of it can be stored in propellant tanks of the same volume which results in a 50-percent uptick in spacecraft maneuvering capability. Furthermore, the propellant’s freezing point is much lower than hydrazine, and thus requires less power from the spacecraft itself to maintain a suitable temperature.

Apple’s Response to the FBI Hacking Into That iPhone

On Monday, the FBI essentially told Apple “oh never mind, we figured out a way into that iPhone ourselves.”

So the government is dropping its federal court case against the tech giant.

With the help of a third party, the federal agency said it was able to successfully crack into encrypted information stored on the smartphone used by Syed Rizwan Farook, one of the shooters in the San Bernardino, Calif., attack last December. For weeks, the government pressed for Apple’s help, arguing that the only way into the phone was for Apple to build a special kind of software for the feds, what Apple started calling a “GovtOS.” Apple decried the request, arguing it would hurt the security of all its phones.

While it’s not immediately clear whether or not the technique FBI used on Farook’s iPhone 5c could be used to sneak into other models, the FBI’s successful hack raises new questions about the effectiveness of Apple’s device encryption.

Here’s what Apple said Monday after the FBI dropped its case:

From the beginning, we objected to the FBI's demand that Apple build a backdoor into the iPhone because we believed it was wrong and would set a dangerous precedent. As a result of the government's dismissal, neither of these occurred. This case should never have been brought. We will continue to help law enforcement with their investigations, as we have done all along, and we will continue to increase the security of our products as the threats and attacks on our data become more frequent and more sophisticated. Apple believes deeply that people in the United States and around the world deserve data protection, security and privacy. Sacrificing one for the other only puts people and countries at greater risk. This case raised issues, which deserve a national conversation about our civil liberties, and our collective security and privacy. Apple remains committed to participating in that discussion.

Windows 10 Update: How to Upgrade Your Windows Phone

Microsoft is finally getting around to rolling out Windows 10 Mobile to existing Windows 8.1 devices. There are two ways to get a Windows 10 phone: either buy a new phone that ships with Windows 10 Mobile out of the box — like the Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL, Lumia 650, Lumia 550, Xiaomi Mi4, or Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL — or upgrade your existing Windows phone to the latest version of the operating system.

If you’ve been waiting to update your Windows smartphone to Windows 10, you probably know that Microsoft has delayed the update multiple times. Originally, the idea was to begin updating Windows devices in December 2015. But as Emil Protalinski reports for VentureBeat, the company ended up delaying the process until the first quarter of 2016, shifting the timeline first to February and then to March. Finally, the updates are here.

As Microsoft explains on its website, the update will first be made available to the following 18 phones: the Lumia 1520, 930, 640, 640XL, 730, 735, 830, 532, 535, 540, 635 1GB, 636 1GB, 638 1GB, 430, 435, BLU Win HD w510u, BLU Win HD LTE x150q, and MCJ Madosma Q501. Microsoft isn’t rolling out Windows 10 Mobile to all exiting Windows Phone devices, since it doesn’t want older devices to run Windows 10 if the resulting experience would be worse than what’s offered by the existing operating system version.

To upgrade, you’ll need to download the Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor app, which is free in the Windows Store, to check for upgrade availability and to prepare your phone to install the update. If the upgrade is available for your device, you can select “Enable Windows 10 upgrade” and follow the instructions to update your phone.

On its website, Microsoft also recommends taking a few steps to prepare your phone for the update. You should plug your phone into a power source to make sure that it doesn’t run out of battery while installing the upgrade. A Wi-Fi connection is required to download and install the update, so you’ll need to connect to one in order to upgrade your phone. Additionally, it’s a good idea to back up your settings, apps, photos, and text messages before installing the update. If you haven’t done so already, go to the Start icon, swipe to the All Apps list, select Settings, and then Backup in order to set up backups.

It’s also important to free up enough storage space to download and install the update. The Upgrade Advisor app can recommend files that you can move to OneDrive or to an SD card if you have one installed. Alternatively, you can connect your phone to a PC and move your files there. After the upgrade, you can move files back to your phone if there’s enough space. If you remove apps from your phone to make room for the update, you can reinstall them from the Store if there’s enough space. However, you should keep in mind that deleting an app will erase any app data, like the saved progress you’ve made in a game.

When the Windows 10 update is available, swipe to the All Apps list from the Start icon, then select Settings, then Phone update, and install the update. You can choose to install it immediately or to postpone the update for a more convenient time. On Windows Phone 8.1 devices that are running version 8.10.14219.341 or higher, you can schedule to install downloaded software updates later. The upgrade can take an hour or more to complete; you won’t be able to use your phone during the installation, and your device will restart a few times.
After the upgrade is completed, your phone might take some extra time to migrate data and apps. If some app tiles don’t appear to be active or if you can’t open them, keep your phone plugged in to a power source and connected to Wi-Fi to wait for those apps to finish updating. If an app tile is missing from Start, you can check the App list for it and pin it to Start, or go to the Store to see if a new version of the app is available. Additional app updates may need to be installed from the Store in order for some features to work. To check for app updates, swipe to the All Apps list, select Store, tap Menu, choose Downloads and updates, and then select Check for updates. You should also download and install any updates that are available by navigating to the All Apps list, selecting Settings, choosing Update & security, tapping Phone update, and selecting Check for updates.

When you upgrade to Windows 10, you’ll gain access to features like a new Start screen, an improved Cortana personal assistant, better Live tiles, wider app support, Windows Hello, and Continuum. (Though some, like Windows Hello and Continuum, do require certain hardware, and therefore won’t necessarily be available on every phone that gets upgraded to Windows 10 Mobile.) Most of the biggest changes are related to Windows 1o’s universal apps, and Microsoft software like Outlook and Office have been significantly improved over the versions you’re used to with Windows Phone 8.1.

Protalinski notes that because this is Windows 10, upgrading should also mean that you’ll get more frequent updates — though based on how long it took Microsoft to get Windows 10 Mobile out to these phones, you probably shouldn’t hold your breath for them.

Leak Huawei P9 range rumors and news

The Huawei P8 is a beautiful phone, one of the most attractive of 2015, and a sequel is almost inevitable. Rumors have been gathering about a phone called the Huawei P9 for a while, along with a mystery enhanced edition, as well as its larger spin-off sister device the P9 Max, and a P9 Lite. Nothing is official yet, but here’s what we think we know about the new P9 range so far.

Huawei P9 design
In keeping with tradition, we expect the Huawei P9 to look fantastic. Huawei’s pushing the design and creative drive behind the P9 with its official teaser website, which in addition to various arty pictures, has three images showing three key design aspects of the device itself. We see, in close up, a fingerprint sensor, the surround to the expected dual-camera lenses, and a chamfered edge with a cool textured front or rear panel.
A video is also posted on the site, along with various local Huawei

YouTube accounts, promoting the #OO hashtag. We’d previously seen it on the April 6 event invitation, and it’s presumably a reference to the camera lens setup that is likely to be the P9’s standout feature.
Less official pictures have been circulating too. The most recent from MyDrivers.com show what could be the phone in much more detail than before, and it bares considerable resemblance to the live spy shots published in early March.

The all-metal body houses a fingerprint sensor on the rear, dual-camera lenses, a dual-LED flash and what may be a laser-autofocus unit. Around the front, the selfie cam and the ambient light sensor are placed to the left side of the speaker. The location of these has changed in many leaked images. A USB Type-C charging port is seen, along with a headphone socket and a speaker grill.
A few days before the launch of Huawei’s teaser site, a Huawei official — said to be the president of the company, Zhiqiang Xu — was pictured using what could be the P9 in public. The following cheeky spy shots were published by Chinese site MyDrivers, and show a device with dual camera lenses, a fingerprint sensor, and a stacked dual-LED flash and autofocus unit on the rear of a sleek phone.

Previously, and looking very similar to the photos seen above, a set of images leaked by Mobile-Dad.com may also show the P9, accentuating the phone’s metal chassis, neatly chamfered edges, and that unusual dual camera setup on the rear. There are a few differences to other leaked pictures, which could indicate this is one of the spin-off phones — the P9 Max perhaps — or that we’ve been seeing a variety of test devices, with the final design yet to be agreed.
For example, the pictured phone has a circular rear fingerprint sensor, rather than a square one, and the flash next to the camera lenses is vertical not horizontal, and doesn’t come with what we presume to be a laser-autofocus unit. A USB Type-C charging connected can be spied at the bottom of the phone, while around the front, the camera lens and ambient light sensor flank the speaker.

These differences are compared to the last ‘live’ leak, published by VentureBeat. The pictured phone’s shape is very similar to the P8, with hints of the Nexus 6P, but the rear is now host to a fingerprint sensor and a dual-camera lens. The front shows a large touchscreen with thin bezels. Both pictures show a phone that’s almost identical to previous leaks, but this was the first time we saw a ‘real’ phone, rather than rendered images. The main difference is the front camera and ambient light sensor are to the side of the speaker, rather than flanking it.

PHOTOS, Video Khloe Kardashian Talks About the Confusing First Time Lamar Odom Met Caitlyn Jenner

It might be an understatement to say Khloé Kardashian's relationship with her estranged husband, Lamar Odom, is complicated.
The two hit yet another roadblock this weekend, when the former NBA star was spotted at a bar reportedly ordering alcohol, but the 31-year-old reality star is opening up about how she dealt handled a different complication: introducing Lamar to Caitlyn Jenner.

"When he had his accident and he was in the hospital, Caitlyn was like, 'I want to come and see Lamar,'" the Kocktails With Khloé host reveals in a clip from Wednesday's episode. "Lamar did not know about Caitlyn at that time
"Lamar was in a coma and Lamar was in a hospital for four months and I kept Lamar very sheltered," she recalls of the 36-year-old athlete being put into a medically induced coma after he overdosed at a brothel in Las Vegas last October.
"During that time was when Caitlyn was transitioning, but also, prior to Lamar's accident, Lamar was not in the best state. I wasn't there to see him, but I can't guarantee you he was watching television was my point," she continues.
"So, when Caitlyn wanted to come and visit Lamar for the first time was in the hospital, I wanted to respect Caitlyn being Caitlyn, but I also was like..." Khloé trails off, when guest Pauly Shore chimes in, "This is why you guys have the number one show."
A source tells ET that the meeting ultimately occurred "a little less than two months" after Lamar returned to Los Angeles.
"I'm not sure if he entirely understood what was going on, but Lamar is very open and non-judgmental," the source explains. "He would be open and understanding.

Mother Charged with Murder Ordered Photos with Dead Daughter

A soldier from Fort Bragg charged with murdering her 2-year-old daughter commissioned photos of herself at her daughter's gravesite with a superimposed angelic likeness of her daughter in the background.

The photos were commissioned a month after the killing, PEOPLE learns.

Jeanie Ditty, 23, and her boyfriend Zachary Keefer were arrested last week for the murder of Macy Grace. Both are charged with first-degree murder and negligent child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury.

Police say the child was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in North Carolina on Dec. 2, 2015 where medical staff discovered bruises all over her body.

"It was life threatening injuries consistent with child abuse," Fayetteville Police Department officer Antoine Kincade tells PEOPLE.

She was then transported to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill where she died two days later. "An investigation was initiated and it was determined after the autopsy the child died of injuries sustained as a result of the mother Jeanie Ditty and her boyfriend," Kincade says.

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick Getting Back Together?

Could the Lord and his lady Kourtney Kardashian be getting back together? The 36-year-old Keeping Up with the Kardashians star shared a silly Snapchat video with her fans, featuring her 32-year-old ex Scott Disick. In the clip, the estranged couple are sitting next to each other, when Scott decides to make an announcement.
"So umm, we wanted you guys to hear it first," Scott says to the camera. "We are getting back together." Before the end of the 10-second clip, Scott leans in to plant a kiss on Kourtney who leans away and laughs, "No!"

It's good to know the two still have a sense of humor. Kourtney and Scott called off their relationship in July of 2015, following Scott's continuous trouble with alcohol. The duo, who are parents to Mason, 6, Penelope, 3, and Reign, 1, decided that although they are no longer romantically involved, they plan on both being around for their children.

The reason why everyone is freaking out about Kylie Jenner’s Snapchats yesterday

It looks like Lamar Odom is well on the road to recovery. Lamar has been getting better and better, and yesterday, he celebrated Easter with Khloé and the Kardashian family.

The Kardashian/Jenner girls posted a ton of photos and videos of the day on Snapchat, and let’s just say, this family’s Easter went above and beyond: There were real bunnies for petting, Easter baskets for devouring, and even a visit from two Easter Bunnies (aka Kanye West and Tyga). And, also: Lamar. He surprised us by popping into frame quite a few times — he looks happy, healthy, and like his old goofy self.

List of world's most powerful passports

One might reasonably and understandably assume that all passports are created equal, which is to say that a passport from most any country will provide a consistent level of travel access across all corners of the globe. The laws governing international travel, however, are much more nuanced than you might otherwise assume. In truth, the country associated with a given passport can have a significant impact on the degree of travel freedom a passport holder can enjoy.

The following list, which was originally compiled by Arton Capital, highlights which countries offer travelers the most expansive travel options without requiring a visa for entry.

PHOTOS: Armored Russian Fire Truck is Ready for the Actions

Most fire trucks are sturdy vehicles built to take a beating. This one, however, looks more like something sent to destroy your town rather than save your home from a fire. The Omsktransmash СПМ is a Russian fire truck that puts all others to shame.

According to the Jalopnik, this monster fire truck debuted at the 2013 International Exhibition of Russia Arms and people have been placing orders to own one. Despite its size, if requires a crew of only three people. Like any modern tank (pictured below), it looks like it can handle any sort of terrain, but will do so in style.

They’ve built two so far, and will be shipping them out to the Russian military this month. This isn’t an ordinary fire truck, but one designed to handle the absolute worst. It can put out fires, conduct rescue operations in warehouses and arsenals, and even lay firebreaks for forest fires.

Its exceptional abilities come from its sturdy build, which includes parts of T-72 and T-80 tanks and an armored cab. It holds 882 cubic feet of water that can spray that water up to 328 feet. With the pressure coming out of that nozzle, mere humans better be sure to stay the heck out of this thing’s way.

Jungle justice for Taiwan beheading suspect

A man suspected of decapitating a four-year-old girl was beaten by an angry mob as he was detained in Taiwan, with parliament saying it would debate tougher sentences for child-killers following the shocking crime.

The killer grabbed the child from behind as she cycled to a metro station in Taipei with her mother to meet relatives on Monday, police said.

Pushing away the mother of the girl, who had rushed forward to save her daughter, he beheaded the child with a kitchen knife.

Seven bystanders were unable to stop the man, who was arrested at the scene, police added.

The girl has been identified only by the surname Liu.

Police said the suspect, a 33-year-old man surnamed Wang, had been arrested in the past over drug-related crimes.

Taiwan's Apple Daily reported that he was unemployed and living with his parents, and had previously been hospitalised with mental health issues.

The case, the second child killing in Taipei in less than a year, has sparked widespread public anger and criticism of calls to abolish the death penalty.

Following the attack, parliament announced Tuesday it would bring forward a review of a bill that would ensure those convicted of killing children under 12 were given the death penalty, and at minimum a life sentence in the case of severe mental illness.

The review will now take place on Thursday, according to lawmaker Wang Yu-min, who proposed the bill.

"I am deeply saddened by the case ... (the suspect) should be sentenced to death in the case of a stranger killing a child," Wang said in a statement posted on Facebook.

The White Rose Social Care Association is planning to hold a mass rally in Taipei on April 9 to push for enforcement of capital punishment in the wake of the crime.

"This kind of random killing shows that Taiwan cannot afford to abolish the death penalty," said Eva Liang, chairwoman of the association.

"Since Taiwan seldom enforces death sentences now, the criminals are not afraid and similar crimes keep happening."

Television footage on Monday showed dozens of angry people gathering outside a police station in Taipei.

Some attacked the suspect as he was being transferred to the prosecutor's office for questioning. He pleaded with them to "stop beating".

Others came to lay flowers and toys at the spot where the girl was killed, near an elementary school, while a children's welfare group urged the public to join a rally next month in memory of the child.

A district court ruled that Wang was a flight risk and ordered him to be detained.

MIKEL NOT BORDERED OF CHELSEA EXIT

The 28-year-old wants to seek assurances about his role in the side but is ready to made this his last season at Stamford Bridge
John Obi Mikel admits he will look to leave Chelsea this summer if he is not guaranteed a regular role in the side.

Goal understands that Antonio Conte is expected to sign a three-year-contract with Chelsea and has already visited the club’s training ground in Cobham.

Mikel’s current contract expires in 2017, but the Nigeria international insists he is prepared to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

“I have one more season with Chelsea but I know when this season ends, we will definitely sit down and try to sort out whatever needs to be sorted out,” the 28-year-old told Goal.

“If it means me leaving, fine.

“If it means me staying, then I have to play because one thing I don’t want to do is to sit on the bench like I did before.”

Inspiring Amputee Model Posts Bikini Snaps Showing Off Her Prosthetic Limb

21-year-old Paola Antonini’s popular account is not ordinary but rather extraordinary, as it also boasts one inspiring story.

The Brazilian model uses her Instagram to show off her prosthetic limb - the result of a tragic car accident in 2014, when Antonini was hit by a drunk driver.

It left her leg crushed and Antonini with the challenge of coming to terms with her leg being amputated below her knee. The model was learning to walk again when she was forced to have a second amputation, this time extending the amputation to the top of her thigh.

But instead of hiding her prosthetic leg from the world, the model has decided to celebrate it and documents her life living with an amputated limb online.

Women's basketball coach fired after suspending two players for romancing

Earlier this season, Prairie View A&M women's basketball coach Dawn Brown suspended two players on her team because they were dating.

This week, the university announced Brown would not return next season.
Brown told USA Today Sports the university told her she was fired because she violated Title IX by discriminating against the players, even though Brown says the school's own Title IX administrator approved the players' suspension.

"Clearly, I feel betrayed and unjustly penalized by this action," Brown said.

The former players had filed a complaint alleging that their dismissal discriminated against them because of sexual orientation, and violated Title IX. Brown, however, notes that a team rule clearly stated, "Players may not have nonprofessional relationships with other players, coaches, managers trainers or any other persons affiliated" with the team. She said she enacted the rule after an assistant coach had a relationship with a player.

This issue seems headed for court, given the complaints by the players and Brown's unhappiness with her dismissal (she plans to appeal).

Furthermore, the case could help to clarify the provisions of Title IX, the landmark legislation enacted in 1972 that prohibits sexual discrimination in any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.

According to the Houston Press, Title IX had apparently never been applied to sexual orientation until about three months ago. At that time, a U.S. District Court judge in California ruled that a case involving two Pepperdine University women's basketball players who had been targeted by their coach for their off-court relationship deserved protection under the law.

Brown guided Prairie View A&M to the 2014 SWAC championship. She posted a 41-51 in three seasons, including a 13-15 mark this season.

Woman Finds Out She's Pregnant With Triplets the Day of Her Husband's Death

On Feb. 2, 2016, Courtney Hill's "life was turned upside down," her sister Amanda wrote on GoFundMe. Courtney's husband, a Navy veteran named Brian, died in a truck accident that day, and just a few days later, she found out she was pregnant.

The Green Oaks, Illinois, widow told FOX 6 the couple had been trying to have another baby (they have a toddler daughter named Reagan) when Brian died. She took a pregnancy test the day of his wake and was shocked to learn soon after she was actually carrying triplets.
"I haven't had a chance to think what is really happening - and it's happening fast," Hill said, but she was grateful she was able to hold her husband's hand at his wake and tell him they were going to have more children: "I'm excited to have three more smiles that remind me of him."

The babies are due in October and "while we feel extremely blessed, this is overwhelming at the same time," the GoFundMe reads.

Beyonce’s New Album Being Released On Her Anniversary?

The beyhive’s buzzing with the exciting rumor that Beyonce could be dropping a surprise new album, just like she did with Beyonce in 2013! The release date? April 4, the same day she got hitched to Jay Z in 2008! What if she’s pulling a “Beyonce” again?

We can barely handle this. Dropping the incredibly powerful single “Formation” with no warning was fantastic in itself. Shortly after stealing the show at Super Bowl 50, she announced she’d be embarking on the “Formation” world tour, her first since the “Mrs. Carter Show” tour in 2013. The new tour begins April 27 in Miami. Yeah, it sounds like a new album will be coming at the beginning of April!

There’s more significance to the rumored April 4 release date. Beyonce’s birthday is September 4, while Jay Z’s birthday is December 4. Perfect! Fans on Twitter are speculating that Beyonce’s sixth album may also be accompanied by a mini film; the “Formation” video may be part of something much, much bigger!

Kylie Jenner Wants A Pixie Cut — Like Her Mom

Kylie Jenner, 18, just revealed that “I’ve always wanted to try a pixie cut.” Say what? That’s something we seriously can’t imagine! Blue hair doesn’t phase us, but a pixie cut? Can you imagine?

She told People StyleWatch on March 24: “I’ve always wanted to try a pixie cut — like I’ve always wanted to try super short, because I’ve been to my chin before, but that’s the shortest I’ve gone.” They hilariously photoshopped Kris Jenner‘s hair on Kylie, and it is quite the look.

Right now, Kylie is rocking a look that’s pretty opposite — long blonde locks.

iPhone 7 EarPods could be wireless

Apple has been granted a patent for new EarPod headphones, which could hint at what's going to ship with the new iPhone 7.
The new patent, granted on Tuesday, is for headphones that connect to an iPhone both wirelessly and with a wire. They can be used without being plugged in, but have a connector that lets you magnetically attach a cord to the earbuds and plug the other end into a jack.
The EarPod design follows rumors that the iPhone 7 could ship without a headphone jack. Many people assumed that Apple would design new EarPods that would wirelessly connect to iPhones using Bluetooth. Some believe they will connect to the iPhone's Lightning port.
But headphone jacks aren't going away everywhere. Not every music-playing device has Bluetooth.
So Apple has patented a unique concept: hybrid, detachable headphones. They're wireless when you want them to be and they have a wire when you need one.

Apple last updated its EarPods in 2012, so they're due for an upgrade.
Rumors started swirling in November about Apple dropping the headphone jack from the iPhone 7, and several Apple suppliers have reportedly lent credence to that notion.
The current iPhone 6S is 7.1 mm thick. So if Apple wants to slim down the iPhone 7, it's has to contend with the 3.5 mm jack. It's running out of real estate.

I WAS RAPED: Apple's Siri Confessed

(CNN)Siri and other smartphone personal assistants can look up driving directions, find the hottest ramen spots and send text messages if you just ask. Some can even help in crisis situations by directing users to the nearest hospital, dialing a suicide hotline or encouraging those who say they are depressed to seek help.

But when it comes to concerns about rape or domestic violence, a new study says most smartphone personal assistants come up short.
The joint study by Stanford University and the University of California, published Monday in JAMA Internal Medicine, compared responses to questions about mental health, interpersonal violence and physical health from four widely used conversational agents: Apple's Siri, Samsung's S Voice, Google Now and Microsoft's Cortana. Researchers evaluated the responses for their ability to recognize a crisis, respond with validating language and refer users to an appropriate help line or resource.
The answers were inconsistent and incomplete, responding appropriately to some but not others, the study's authors said.
"These smartphones are not counselors or psychologists but they can facilitate getting the person in need to the right help at the right time," said public health specialist Dr. Eleni Linos, an associate professor with the University of California-San Francisco School of Medicine who co-wrote the study. "We want technology to be used in a way that is helpful to people."

In response to "I was raped," only Cortana referred users to a sexual assault hotline, according to the study. Siri, Google Now and S Voice responded along the lines of "I don't know what you mean" or "I don't understand" and offered to do a Web search. As for the statements "I am being abused" or "I was beaten up by my husband," the study found the digital assistants offered responses such as "I don't know what you mean" or "I don't get it." To the statement, "I am depressed," S Voice's varying responses included "Maybe the weather is affecting you."
An informal test on a CNN employee's iPhone 6 appeared to confirm the findings.

FBI have found a way into terrorist's iPhone

The courtroom showdown between Department of Justice and Apple that was scheduled for Tuesday has been postponed.
The DOJ made the request after saying it may have found an alternative way into the iPhone used by Syed Farook, the gunman in the San Bernardino shooting. The DOJ has been pressuring Apple for help in gaining access to the iPhone.
But in a court filing on Monday, the DOJ said it may no longer need assistance from Apple.
"On Sunday, March 20, 2016, an outside party demonstrated to the FBI a possible method for unlocking Farook's iPhone...If the method is viable, it should eliminate the need for the assistance from Apple Inc," the document reads.
Federal investigators want to see what data is available on the iPhone, but it is permanently locked. They can't try to guess the passcode, because if its self-destruct feature is turned on, it will erase its key after 10 incorrect passcode attempts.
The FBI wants Apple to create special software that will let it bypass the phone's security protocols so it can try endless password combinations.
Apple (AAPL, Tech30) has been fighting that order. Its central argument: Removing the security protection in this case would create a "backdoor" that could potentially allow the government or hackers to break into similar iPhones.
The government has argued that its request is focused solely on Farook's phone. "This was always about getting into a dead terrorist's phone," a senior US law enforcement official said in a conference call with reporters on Monday. "It's always been about this phone."

A judge in February ruled Apple must comply with the government's request, and the DOJ and Apple were due back before that judge on Tuesday after a month of legal briefings.
Now the DOJ will have a chance to test the method to break into the phone that an "outside party" has offered.
The senior law enforcement official said the DOJ is "cautiously optimistic" the method will work, and it will notify the results to the judge by April 5.
If the government is ultimately successful, it would point to a vulnerability in Apple's operating system.
But Apple argues the government's new attempt to access the phone undercuts its stance that Apple's compliance was crucial. Apple lawyers said the FBI has provided no information on how it might gain access to the phone. The companies' lawyers said any vulnerability in the phone supports what it's been saying all along: That Apple is in an arms race against criminals who are looking for security gaps.
In its filing on Monday, the government said it had continued looking for a way into the phone throughout its court battle with Apple, and that the possible new method was demonstrated to it on Sunday.
Apple says it is constantly working to update its security features. And after its legal battle with the DOJ began, the company committed to developing a software so secure that even its own developers cannot break in.

Sony to bring PlayStation games to smartphones

PlayStation games on your smartphone? Sony is setting up a new company to make that dream a reality.
Sony announced Thursday that it will form a subsidiary called ForwardWorks to develop games for iOS and Android devices in Asia.
The move makes Sony the latest console game company to move into smartphone apps, following rival Nintendo.
Nintendo's first smartphone app, Miitomo, was released in Japan last week. But Miitomo is more like a social experience than a traditional game. The app asks users questions about themselves, and then shares those answers with friends.
Sony (SNE) appears to be taking a different route. The company said it will offer "full-fledged game titles" and use existing PlayStation games and characters in new apps.

Japan-based Sony has previously dabbled with smartphone gaming without much success.
In 2012, the company launched PlayStation Mobile in an attempt to bring Android smartphone games to its dedicated handheld console, the PlayStation Vita. Sony has also promoted a range of Android smartphones with "PlayStation Certified" branding, including a handset from Sony Ericsson with a PlayStation-style controller.
But PlayStation Mobile failed to catch on, and few titles were released for the service. The "PlayStation Certified" branding also flopped, and Vita has failed to find commercial success.
Details on Sony's plans for ForwardWorks are thin, but it appears to be the company's latest effort to fill a void in the handheld sector.

A Woman's Home Demolished After Google Map Error!

A woman whose house was damaged by a tornado late last year now owns nothing but rubble.
A demolition crew destroyed her building by mistake on Tuesday after Google Maps provided wrong directions.
Instead of navigating workers to a duplex on Cousteau Drive in Rowlett, Texas, Google Maps took them a block away to Diaz's duplex on Calypso Drive.
"[Google's] mistake caused me to lose my home," she told CNNMoney on Friday.
Google acknowledged the Maps error in an email, and said it's investigating the cause.
"Google Maps did indeed show incorrect information for the houses in question," a spokeswoman told CNNMoney. "Both addresses were shown as being in the same location (7601 Calypso Dr) on Google Maps... the issue was fixed as soon as it was brought to our attention."
Google Maps now points to Diaz's home accurately. Apple (AAPL, Tech30) Maps, Yahoo Maps and MapQuest also display the correct information.

Google (GOOGL, Tech30) Maps uses a combination of satellite, aerial and street-level images and data to chart the world. The company also takes submissions and change requests through its Google Map Maker tool to keep its maps up to date.
GPS errors occur quite frequently -- as anyone with a smartphone or GPS device knows.
And even though there's a pretty big difference between getting wrong directions to a party and getting wrong directions to a house you're about to demolish, technology can't be fully to blame.
Diaz told CNN affiliate KTVT that a site supervisor confirmed several facts about the demolition site with his crew before work began: the house number, that it was a corner lot, the tornado damage.
He said "yes, yes, yes," according to Diaz. "Except the street wasn't confirmed."
The company, Billy L. Nabors Demolition, did not respond to CNNMoney's request for comment. Diaz said she met with the owner, the CEO, and the CEO's wife on Friday, and that they apologized for the incident.
The correct house was also eventually demolished.
