Authorities are desperately searching for a missing teenage girl they say is in grave danger after her fathers body was found in a rural Texas field.
Adriana Coronado, 14, had been missing for about one day when the burned and bullet-ridden body of her father, Caesar Vladimir Coronado, was discovered in Walker County over the weekend, police said.
Coronado's car was also found burned and abandoned about 45 miles south of his body, which had been left in a ditch, authorities said.
Investigators believe Adriana may have been with her father when he was killed and believe she may still be alive, Walker County Sheriff Clint McRae said at a news conference Thursday.
