Guus Hiddink insists Chelsea must be “angry in a controlled way” if they are to beat Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night (7.45pm).
The Blues need to overturn their 2-1 defeat to the French champions in the first leg if they are to progress to the quarter finals of the Champions League.
“We need to be angry in a controlled way on Wednesday,” Hiddink said.
“The players must be fully concentrated because PSG is a class team and they will punish you if you start sloppy.
Chelsea will be without captain John Terry for PSG’s visit to west London.
The defender has been out of action for the last five games with a hamstring problem and Hiddink confirmed he’ll sit out their crucial mid-week clash.
He said: ”I don’t think John will make Wednesday.
“When he is ready to do so, maybe on Tuesday [we will play a practice match] but I don’t think he will make it. Hopefully, let’s see what can be done for next weekend.
