The administrative body for European football has moved quickly to temporarily fill the void left by the 45-year-old, who was elected the new FIFA president last week
UEFA has announced the appointment of Theodore Theodoridis as its general secretary on an interim basis.
Theodoridis takes over temporarily from Gianni Infantino, who was elected as the new FIFA president last Friday.
Infantino, who had been at UEFA for 15 years in total, held the general secretary role for the administrative body for the last seven years.
