Football managers have used a plethora of techniques to amp up their players in the past... but as team-bonding sessions go, watching porngraphy is a new one.
Anderson Conceicao, now at Philadelphia Union, experienced such a treat while on loan at Mallorca during the 2012-13 season and in the midst of a relegation battle.
The head coach at the time, Joaquin Caparros, wanted his players to act with more intensity ahead of facing Athletic Bilbao. Spainish publication Sport claim the team did improve... but still lost 1-0.
"In the team talk ahead of the game Caparros showed us a video with images from a porn film," he told ESPN Brazil. "We were shocked, we didn't understand anything of what we were watching.
"The coach wanted to raise our spirit, but we didn't get his idea. He told us that our tension in the game had to be the same as the porn actor."
Worth a shot though, yeah?
