The French table toppers are now 33 games unbeaten in the league - smashing a record which stood for more than 20 years - after a routine win at Parc des Princes
Paris Saint-Germain's 3-1 win over Lorient in
Ligue 1 on Wednesday night saw the club set a new league record for games unbeaten as
Laurent Blanc's side continued their indomitable march to the title.
Second half goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Layvin Kurzawa sealed an historic win for the Parisians, who have now gone 33 games undefeated in Ligue 1 - smashing the record previously held by Nantes between July 1994 and April 1995.
PSG's feat is all the more remarkable when taking into account the fact that they have failed to score only once during their 33-match streak and have kept a total of 16 clean sheets.
The Qatari-owned club now enjoy a commanding 24-point lead at the summit of Ligue 1 ahead of Monaco in second place.
Next up for Blanc's men is a trip to Marseille on Sunday, followed by a home tie against Lyon in the French Cup next Wednesday.
